Do acrylic nails go over your whole nail, or is it just the tips?

i wanna just get the tips cuz i dont want my whole nail to be covered. what do i say to the people what i want? sorry this is confusing, but so am i!Do acrylic nails go over your whole nail, or is it just the tips?
you cant just get it on the tips.it has to go on the whole nail or it wouldn't stay.plus that would look very weird.you could get the tips in different colors if you want and keep the top looking natural.You could also get designs on your acrylic nails if you want.;)Do acrylic nails go over your whole nail, or is it just the tips?
You put the acrylic just over your tip then cover all of the nail including the tip with gel..
The whole nail must be covered with the acrylic.
You can ask for a gel overlay instead of acrylic nails.
just do the tips then, what ever you feel comforatable with
it has to go over your whole nail.

They put plastic tips on, cut them to the length you like, then use this gel made of some sort of powder and thick liquid, and they cover your whole nail.
