How do I take off my acrylic nails?

I've had them on for about 6 weeks now, i know i soak them but in what and for how long?

thanksHow do I take off my acrylic nails?
I would recommend going to a professional nail technician who will soak your acrylics off.

If that is not an option then you want to use pure manicurist acetone. Pour enough in a glass bowl so that fingertips are covered.(You can place this bowl in another bowl of warm water to warm the acetone. Please do not put acetone in the microwave! It is extremely flammable.)

Soak nails for at least 30 minutes. It depends on the thickness of the acrylic. When they soften you can use a paper towel to wipe of the softened acrylic. Do this until there is no acrylic left.

Wash hands to remove acetone, lightly buff your nails and follow with a moisturizing treatment ( a rich hand cream and cuticle oil).

You can also put a few drops of cuticle oil into the acetone as you are soaking to help with dryness. How do I take off my acrylic nails?
acetone, soak your finger tips in there for a while.
From personal experience......cut them short and let them grow out. Your nails underneath will be very sensitive and I counld'nt stand touching anything. You can lightly buff them as they grow out. Apply a strenghtner as need to help the nails.
soak them in acetone nail varnish remover about 20 minutes and put a little towel over the bowl of acetone the heat soaks themoff faster
pure accetone.. warm... for about 10 mins then kinda rub them off,
You soak them in acetone nail varnish remover. For as long as required but approximately 10-15 mins. But that depends on the glue/nail, more or less may be necessary. They will go gooey and you can take them off!
soak em in acetone nail remover until they start to soften

or soak them in false nail remover

or get them done by a proffesional

but some sort of remover is prob cheaper and easier
get the dog to bite them off
Soak them in vinegar for about 20 minutes... maybe 30 minutes.
You should go back to the nail shop and let them soak your nails and take them off. It only cost $10.00 to do so, and you get a better job of getting the nails taken off. I believe they us Acetone to take the nails off.
I recommend going to a proffessional nail salon. They will soak them off in a solution of Acetone.

Please don't peel off yourself. You will tear your nail bed making it weak and susceptible to infection.
Soak them in pure acetone. Nail polish remover with acetone will take forever to soften them enough to remove. DO NOT pry them off as this will likely damage your nail plate
Clip the tips (length) down as far as you need. Get some pure acetone from any store that sells regular polish remover. Take some aluminum foil cut into squares, and some cotton balls.

Wet the cotton ball with acetone, lay it on the nail and cover with the foil, as tight as possible. Repeat all 10 nails or one hand at a time. Do not peek or open the foil for at least 20 minutes, then one at a time, remove the foils and with a wood pusher - orange wood stick- scrape the acrylic off.. it should come right off.. you can repeat if some traces are left. If you peek, the acrylic will start to harden immediately, so it's best to be patient :)

When you get it all off make sure you give your self a healthy dose of some good hand cream as the acetone is very drying to the surrounding skin.
Try using acetone for about 20 minutes. Just put it in a bowl large enough for your hands, pour the acetone in the bowl and cover your hands with a wash cloth!!! Pull them off your nails gentle, because your nails will be sensitive. I would put Sally Hansen's hard as nails on them to get them stronger!!

Good Luck!!
acetone, soak your finger tips in there for a while.

Soak in pure acetone (not regular polish remover). Time will vary. Just test one after five minutes or so to see if it comes off easily.
