What's the difference between Gel and Acrylic nails?

gel is better for your nails , it comes off easier , the paint doesnt wear off or chip and its more expensive , but i think its worth it.





acrylic turns yellow in the sun , the paint at the tip starts to wear off and chip after a little and its kinda cheap.





with acrylic they just put a top coat on it of clear nail polish but with gel they put a layer of gel over it as a topcoat instead of regular nail polish

gel can be more expensive. they do not damage ur natural nail like acyrlics do.


with acrylics ur nails have to be filled right down, so when they come off they are paper thin.

on gel nails the white part of the nail doesn't turn yellow like regular acrylic nails do. gel is also a little more expensive.
I only know of acrylic nails
ONe is shinnyer than the other...
one comes off easier than the other
never heard of gel nails...


i suppose that's the difference?
