According to my nail technician, acrylics should be taken off every 6 months and a new set put on. I personally suggest taking them off every 3 months for a week or 2 to let them ';breathe'; or when you take them off years down the road, they will be VERY nasty. I went a period of 4 years never taking them off and it was NOT good. It was about 7 months before my nails were ';normal'; again. Now that they are normal, I haven't put acrylics back on. I always insisted on having acrylics, but if you haven't put them on yet...seriously think about it. They're not all they're cracked up to be in the end.
Even if you don't have fungus under your your nails I don't think that it is wise to leave nails on for a year...I really doubt if they even stay on that long after a good 2 months them things will start popping off......2 months is the longest anyone should leave acrylic nails on...and as far as the pedicure is concern I never heard anything about good circulation in your feet...all I know is that it is summer time and if females and even guys want to have there feet out they better have a good pedicure
I have had my acrylic nails for at least 5 years now. Every 6 months you should have them taken off and have your nail technician clean up your nail.
as long as they can stay on
if you can keep them on i guess they can last for a while.....i can never get past one week with them
acrylic nails only last about two weeks before you have to get them redone. They dont last for years dummy. Thanks
You can wear them for the rest of your life if you want but i would recommend giving your natural nails a break every couple of months or so just to let them breath. This will also lesson the risk for infection. A fungus is something you are more likely to catch rather than develop so make sure your manicurist is using clean implements. Also pedicures are an awesome way to keep your toe nails healthy but as far as good circulation no not unless your getting some fabulous 1/2 hour massage on each foot. By the way I am a licensed manicurist.
