Do you actually have to have long nail to get acrylic nails?

i have shorter nails from bitting them... and i want the full nail not just tips... will this work?Do you actually have to have long nail to get acrylic nails?
Yes, you can get acyclic nails if you have short nails. If you had long nails, they would actually cut them to put the acrylic on. What they do to put acrylic nails on is they put on the tip and use a powder over it to make your nail longer. The nails that look like they just have the tip is the style of nail, ie...french tip. no i had it done. they put like a coneon each nail that extends your nails and then they apply whatever the stuff is called. When it dries, they take out the cone thing and you have the full nail. its hard to explain, but it can certainly be done.
I dont have any nails at all. They dont even come to the end of my fingertips but I got acrylic nails. They just glue a nail on.
