Can acrylic nails/tips be chemically removed?

I got tips for the first time, and am not sure how to remove them. Can they be chemically removed? Can I do this at home or do I have to go back to the nail salon to have them removed? Can acrylic nails/tips be chemically removed?
People have removed them at home before, but they always seriously screw up their own nails. I reccommend going back to the salon and they will soak them off for you. It is easy and cheap and will be much better for your nails. It also wont hurt. Can acrylic nails/tips be chemically removed?
Get them removed at a nail salon!! My friends acrylic nails grew into her own (WERD) and it was very painful trying to rip them off. She managed to but only after they grew to a disgustingly long length.
Well... you can go to the Salon but you can buy actone nail polish remover and that should work. Just soak your fingers in actone nail polish remover.
Clip them down as far as you can with nail clippers then soak in acetone solution. You can get acrylic nail remover at the drug store. It takes a long time, a good hour or so for it to dissolve. Just soak and rub gently. Don't pull or you risk tearing your nail or making it even thinner
